I bought one of these because I use a lot of large spreadsheets at work and got tired of scrolling a few lines at a time. I've used it for just a few days and I LOVE IT! I can scroll 10k lines in one spin. It's really helped my productivity and it's great for long scrolling web pages and emails as well. It's pricey but if you have some cash and need a new mouse, I'd recommend it highly. I found it for sale at Best Buy for $79 but they have a notebook (battery operated as opposed to rechargeable) for like $49.

Actually, you can click donw the button and make it "notchy" like normal scroll wheels. You can also set the software to change the setting automatically on an per application basis. It also has setting for gaming (I think most other Logitech mice do as well).
