better to buy before or after christmas?

Post by HONkUS »

My parents gave me a $300 check to go towards a flat panel for christmas. I totally wasnt expecting it. Anyway my question is this: would I get a better deal on a widescreen flat panel before or after christmas?

man that's a tough call... at this point in time I'd say wait... I went shopping yesterday to pick up some stuff at vickies for the girlfriend and didn't see too many killer sales when I checked out the HDTV's on the way out of the mall. With soooo many TV's being bought this X-MAS they might have a high return rate, so open box deals might be great for them.

shortly after Xmas you should see massive sales on everything take your time and select carefully, with $300 to spend you should be able to get a really nice LCD and some change
BTW do your parents want to adopt me? mine will likely give me socks and underwear (usually the wrong size or some bizzare color :x )

Agreed either way before xmas or after xmas shoot for black friday when you can but after that yeah after xmas for the deals. hell with 300 you should get a hella nice 22+" lcd widescreen with liek 1000:1 contrast ratio adn 5ms response or better and damn good resolutions I'm thinking.
