HD Reformatting Question

I'm getting ready to perform a fresh install of Win XP and was wondering if utilizing the builtin "format" feature is enough to reformat my HD or is there something else that I need to do.
Thanks,

I usually do low-level formats when I want to completely wipe my drive about once a year (since it takes probably about 6hrs on my 160GB Drive). Other than that, I just use the Quick Format option with installing XP.

i always do a full format on new drives, quick formats on re-installs and low level formats when something has had a few quick formats done or there was an issue with something.

I use quick format about 95% of the time, and the full format the otehr. I never have low-level formatted a drive unless there were problems with it, and then it mostly didnt work and the drive went to the trash

I also have never had a problem with the quick format. Full takes way too long!

full format, unless you have confidential data on your HDD, then you have to wipe it clean first

I've always had fairly small hard drives (less than 120gb) so i've always used the windows install full format option.
Now that I'm using larger drives (320gb in both machines), I've only full formatted the first time, and haven't reinstalled windows since. The 320 in my new machine only took like 75 minutes to run the full, so I'll probably stick with full.
