updated on bottom of page
I recently (before christmas) bought an ipod for a person that ended up not wanting it (paid 190 CDN for a 4gb 2nd gen. which goes for 219.99+14%tax here)
i traded that for a X-Fi Fata1ity sound card and a Matrix Orbital MX212 LCD display/fan controller/temp probe and so on
and now i have a deal going for a X1900 AIW for the X-FI
now, i think i managed to swindle myself into a few good deals, just curious if anyone else thinks so, or if i ended up getting a mediocre (sp?) deal, of even got screwed myself
gonna end up selling my X850XT if the AIW is good enough

your ipod was too expensive to start so no but the latter part is a good deal xfi for x1900 imo just cuz I don't use anything but onboard.

the x1900AIW is a great folder and much better than the x850xt Good deal in my opinion.
I'm not a fan of Ipod of Creative, so that was sorta good trade. Not a fan of the Matrix controller, sunbeam is simple and just plan works.
You didn't get screwed you did fine

the ipod was 170USD, and then the cost of the MO and the conversion
you guys really gotta read, I AM CANADIAN!

, ur so-so deals are amazing to Canucks, we get screwed on tech stuff
and as for the sound, my onboard on the P5WD2-P has served me well, not like the X-530's need anything special anyways

At least you got an iPod out of the deal.

If your onboard sound is ok for you, then for sure an upgrade from an X850 to a X1900 is the way to go

(and it's AIW!)

Chances are the iPod will go down in price in time. You're better off with the hardware you would actually need/require.

i hate everything apple
i am either on my comp, in the car, or working out in basement (times that i need tunes) so i have some type of player always there
i need money
and i maybe just selling off the X-Fi and the MX-212 as i just got dinged for another 500bucks for school books (1 grand for the year so far) and i may need to pay for gas

well new deal has been found
i ended up trading the X-Fi and 50 bucks for a 7900GTO with a vf-900 (and orig box and hsf).
i will then be selling my x850xt and the lcd display, so i can recover the funds.
i figure now its a nice deal, since i made money outa getting a 7900GTO and "700 gpu and 1520 ram no problem at all" is what ive been told about this particular GTO

Not to rain on your parade, but I hope that you get one of the "good" 7900GT's... as there are a ton of that line that needed to head back to the manufacturers for RMA's....

Aquamark is NOT a GFX benchmark anymore!!!
It's only good for your CPU/RAM!
Even Dicecca112 can beat me on Aquamark
Try 3DMark '05 or '06!

GTs had issues in the beginning just like the 8800 series did. GTOs do not
Ken a little jealous I beat you Aqua? J/K.
Its definetly Processor related, I saw a score of two 8800GTS in SLI with a AMD Opteron 170 and they only score 85K and I scored 135K, so there you go

Whoops, sorry, my mistake. I missed the "O" in the "GTO"
