DVD Printers

Post by danno »

I am looking for a good multi function printer that will print in CD and DVD but still has a scanner.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

Epsons do an excellent job of printing on DVD's (a little slow best for 1 to 5 copies).
I'm fairly sure they have some all-in-ones can that can do that.

$160 right now - DAMN cheap!

i think Epson is the only one in the US to offer cd/dvd printing because of them having the patent and Canon not wantign to shell out money. I do not know if Hp does it or not.

You can alter Canons to print od cd/dvd - but you have to buy a cd/dvd tray, install software from Australia, etc to get it to work.

I fyou are doing more than a few at a time, consider a stand alone disk printer, and a more basic all-in-one.

The prolems I've seen with most all-in-ones is that if the do one thing really well.......they often come up short on another, plus if one component dies or needs an upgrade then you may find upgrading the whole thing is easiest/works best.

Take a look at cnet, zdnet and PCworld reviews to find the features/models that work best for you. (read the user comments reviews too!)

Yea I hate all-in-ones myself, but thats what he asked for :)

Just think - your printer breaks, and you lose your printer scanner and copier all at the same time ;) WOOHOO...lol

I have a Brother 7-in-1 MFC 640CW and absolutely love it. Print on photo paper and stick it in a frame. For a home user or small office, it's awesome. I love the fact it's wireless. I'll be writing a review on it, just need to find a home to publish it. Great rebates with Brother all the time.

I do have a Brother HL-5250DN printer I use just for black on white copies.
