The specifications for my computer are as below. Could anyone tell me just exactly which motherboard I need for this monster??

p.s.: I'm aware that this Com might be a bit behind its time but... I'd like to sort this problem out... but feel free to advise for the better (bearing in mind that you are talking to a total PC Repair dummy).. I've looked at a few AMD ATX stuff.... hmmf.. but the memory supported don't seem to match up with my Computer specs.. Am I wrong about this?

Please... anyone.. with expertise...let me know... (really really desperate!) :0

What exact processor do you have eycho? Welcome to the forums.

I'm guessing you have a bad motherboard in one of your systems and you are looking for a replacement?

I think he has an AXP 2200+ and it looks like he has a motheboard with the VIA KM 266 chipset...

The only Socket A one I see on Newegg (besides a $150 ITX one) is this one. I don't recommend that one, but it would do, I suppose, in a pinch.

What I recommend would be to find an Asus A7N8X series or an Abit NF7/AN7 series on ebay. It might a little more expensive than the PC Chips one, but it would have infinitely more mileage to it. (Unless you're unlucky and get a flaky, bad karma version or something.)

If you're just looking for any old replacement, just look on ebay for one, the older ones are cheap and available. I picked one up a few months ago that would suit your needs for $5, for example. Just keep your eyes open. 8)

I would recommend looking at Gigabyte mobos. I've never had trouble with them.

I would recommend buying a cheap Socket A Mobo at eBay.
