im trying to put a song on my girlfriends laptop so it plays when she turns it on. i have already converted it to a Wave. then i changed the song under sound properties. when i turn the computer on, it only plays like 10 secs. of the beginning of the song. i want it to play the whole thing. got any idea?

edit: i have windows XP

good question - I will have to try later on today, as I have my startup sound turned off right now :)

Might be an internal windows timer that cant be changed?

Mike

Will let you know if I figure it out.

Welp I have not gotten anything to run fully either. Still looking and working on it, but it may be built in windows.

Why not turn off the start up sound and add a startup command to play the song :) Might not be the same thing, but it woudl work.

haha, hopeless romantics are the best :P

Might get a bit annoying to play the whole song every time it loads up after a while.

Can't find any online hax tho to make it work, sorry.

There is one thing you can do. Put the song file in the start menu-startup folder of her profile. That should play the song in your default media player when she logs in. I will try this now and let you know if it works! Other options would be to make a batch file that launches the song, and make a registry key to launch the batch file on startup.
