Problem with case

Hi All,
I am putting together a PC for the first time.
I have installed most of the parts and now that I am trying to install the video card it will not seat right. I believe there is some interference where the tab of the card goes into the case. When I screw the card in the front section of the connection lifts. I have tried to slightly bend the tab, but that doesn't seem to be the problem. It appears the slot is off center and needs to be widened. Not enough play to losen the screws and realign the MB either.

My question, should I just try to modify the case so the card mounts securely or ditch the case and get something better…

I have to admit I went with good components except the case…I picked up an inexpensive one, now I am thinking that that was not a good idea.

Any and all comments welcome

Just widen the slot on the case where the card fits into, it won't hurt a thing. You might want to strip the components out of the case before hand though............
