Did you get this with the old board as well?

Maybe uninstall and re-install the drivers?

not with the old mobo,,,, just when i got this one ...

if i go into device manager and uninstall the network driver will the install cd automatically install the correct driver for this board/lan combo ??? or do i have to do it manually ????

there are many drivers on the install disk that came with this mobo.... how do i know which one to install???

in device manager the driver is: Intel (R) PRO/1000 PL network connection version 11.1.0.19

I have 9.5.12.0. I didn't install the Proset stuff, downloading now... I'll test it out and get back.

OK,

I downloaded the "Intel Pro Network LAN Connection 11.2" drivers

Installed over the old drivers, selecting to install everything, rebooted

Drivers are now version 9.6.31.0

PROset version is 11.2.0.69 (according to the Link Speed tab in device manager properties)

No "out of resources" errors opening properties but the only control panel I have is from device manager or Network Connections configuration button.

I would try to re-install the driver and yes I believe the CD will detect the appropriate driver, or do the download from here:

Ooops! The link is too long, you'll have to cut and past it...

Luck...
