Hey all,
I have purched these following computer parts for my first computer build and now I need some help. Please let me know what you think.

-Hanns·G HW-191APB Black 19" 5ms Widescreen LCD Monitor

-AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+(65W) Windsor 2.4GHz Socket AM2 Processor Model ADO4600CUBOX

-MSI K9N4 SLI-F Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce 500 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813130071
-EVGA 256-P2-N615-TX GeForce 7600GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card

-CORSAIR XMS2 1GB (2 x 512MB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TWIN2X1024A-6400

Now for my question. I am using my old Hard Drive with all my old info and operating system (WinXP) on it. If I just plug this into the new box with all the new parts, and just turn it on, is that going to be a problem? I guess what I'm asking is....is this the way to do it or do I need to format the drive first before I turn it on?
Also, if anyone knows of a writeup that would help me in the regard, I would certainly appreciate it. Also, a writeup on how to build a computer from the point AFTER you have installed all the parts would be helpful as well. Again, Im a NOOB here and don't know much about the build.
Thanks for your help in advance.
Robert
