My CD ROM, which is a Samsung and its a CD-RW, is having some problems. I just build a new rig and I used the drive to install XP and it read that CD fine, but now that I'm all set up, the drive won't read my driver discs or anything else that I put in it. It will however, read the Win XP disk if I stick it in there.

Anyone have any suggestions?

are you sure it not the driver disks being bad

Yeah, i tested a few game CDs, and a DVD, and none of them worked. And it is a DVD ROM as well.

Uninstall it from device manager and reboot the pc
