Which version of Vista? I've been asked recently and I honestly don't know. What about games, how are games like FEAR and R6:V when used on Vista x64?

32bit all the way

I tried the 64-bit, but there are TONS of programs that wont work!

I am even having trouble finding programs to work on the 32bit version :( Just bought a new Samsung Lightscribe drive, and the Nero software has troble running on vista! I installed it, but it wont run :( I cant even get a lightscribe program to work.

Mike

You would think ( like I did ) that 64bit would make it faster also, but it seemed slower to me, dunno why, but just my opinions/observations.

Absolutely 32 bit! Even 32 bit apps that will work will run slower since they're running in a 32 bit emulator within the 64 bit OS, therefore slower. 64 bit will be great, once the majority of apps are marketed in 64 bit versions, who knows when that'll be.

No, they released a version that does work with it about the second week of February.

Ok, I'll just pass the word.

Yea, I should have said that the ones that are shipping with dvd writers didnt work out of the box. I had to jump through hoops to get a legit version that would work, but the key arrived by email this morning, and will hopefully have Nero running today :)

The 64-bit outperforms 32-bit in some tasks involving large media files and compresion/decompresion. Also, if you are to use 4GB of RAM or more you will have to install 64-bit OS.

But, the 32-bit is better in terms of drivers and software support.
