Yes but Linux is still the more difficult to use and still needs to be more consumer friendly to give M$ any concern.

I'm a Windows guy myself, for a long time too. I have installed Ubuntu on an old laptop i had laying around and had no problems. I found the installation could be customized or set to a default install. There will always be the "linux is too hard, and not user friendly debate, but i have to say Vista hasnt been too user friendly to me! lol

what is there, Windows basic, ultimate, LT, etc...

under 5 or 6 kinds to choose from. i think linux has over 150 kinds to choose from, even ones that are quite similar to use to Windows.

any OS takes some getting used to. if i had lived in a MAC house other than a Windows based house, i'd know MACs inside and out.

not yelling at anyone just putting it out there :D

in the end you gotta go with what you're comfy with, but if you haven't tried any of the other OSes yourself, you really don't know if you're better or worse off.
