The NZXT Tempest features breakthrough features in every category satisfying the high performance demands of PC Enthusiasts and Gamers worldwide. Tempest stakes its claim as Airflow King with 6 fans including dual intake(120mm), dual exhaust(140mm) with additional side and rear fans(120mm) all of which are included.LR takes a look at the Tempest to see what the 'king of cooling' is all about. Retailing for under $99 this might be one of the most popular gaming cases for 2008.
The Tempest from NZXT’s crafted series is a very nice looking computer case. With a current street price of $109 plus shipping it is in the same price bracket as the ever-so-popular $99.99 Antec Nine Hundred hardcore gaming case.To compare these two cases one will find that they are similar in style, but the Tempest has a little more going for it; it can hold up to 8 hard drives and the top of the case is designed so that it can mount some of the most common dual 120mm water cooling radiators to it with out modifications. Buying a case is obviously a personal decision, but it would be hard to go wrong with the Tempest.
i dont see why they didnt put the front panel stuff up even farther. if they moved it to the front of the case you would be able to get a 3x120mm in there
Actually looks like it'd be a rather easy (fun) mod to move the panel to the front of the case (just above the first bay maybe?) but I agree, shoulda been there to begin with...
Do I hear Antec 900 ripoff ? I like my 900, and IMO this case has nothing to offer over it. I would however, be nice to see a more compact version of it ( 900 ) that you can still use a full size board in.

Yeah, I agree. The only thing I don't like about my 900 is no dust filters. Any know how to retrofit some on there?

Word... The one thing I really like though is the grommet for the wire pass though at the bottom of the case. My wires have always gotten pretty chewed up in there.
Nice case though, looks like more manufacturers are going with the water cooling options for their cases.
Wasn't there a Antec 1000 that was due to come out which this looks like? I was display at last years computer show in Taiwan. What happened to that model?
Asus Maximus Formula, Zalman9700, Antec 182SE, PC Power/Cooling Silencer 750
Intel [email protected] (8x400): 4GB Corsair Dominatior 8500C5 5-5-5-15 T2@1100Mhz
The fans have one speed, on, and I don't have a fan controller that handles that many fans. As for the temps in the case, I can throw thermometer in it, but it wont have a system in it. The bench is tied up with something else at the moment.

You guys are great. You're reviewing a lot of the stuff I'm thinking to buy for my new computer.
I've read that antec is releasing a 1200 case to replace the 900, but because I don't see shops selling a 200mm fan like those antec have on top I'm going for the tempest.
Does the side fan have a filter also?
