I don't have issue with the 8th slot, gives a place to put things like extra USB ports with out blocking a PCI slot.

I think you misunderstand. There IS no 8th slot currently on this case. That's the problem.

Anyone know where I can get these kinds? I've looked at Jab-tech and PetrasTechShop and I'm not sure where else to look
Try mcmaster.com and search expandable grommets
They sell everything!

I have to say, the HDD drive bays got some nice electronics and the cable management sure is nice looking from those pictures in the link.

I greatly appreciate that :)
I was starting to think I would have to route the tubing through the included PCI brackets which would have my GPU before my CPU on the loop - not what I wanted.

Can you guys answer a boneheaded question I have about this? I show the SATA hot swap backplane is wired in series. Does this mean that you only have one connector going from the backplane to your motherboard? If so, how does this effect throughput and RAID ability? I'm confused. :-k

***EDIT*** Think I answered my own question, those must be the power connectors, not the SATA connectors. #-o

Finally got one of these in today... Seems the bottom feet have been redesigned and one of the screws snapped off during shipping...

Got the stripped off threads out with a drill and an 1/8" drill bit:

Now I just need to buy a new bolt locally, but I don't have much thread to match up here and this case had a shipping weight of 44lbs and I'm not dragging that around town.

Also just got this from Corsair as to why it broke:
Since your unit is pre-production, it actually has an older screw type in it (with slightly softer steel) and the production units have been modified with stronger steel on those screws
This is why we never give away our review samples... Everything is a prototype and prone to breaking.

44lbs, thought that was to be an aluminum case and in the ~25lbs range.... beefy very beefy.

Gentlemen, start your wallets! :supz:

Guess I better get ready to dump some coin this winter on a i7 build.

My full review will be up tomorrow... Got the watercooler installed last night and leaked tested it... Need some double sided tape for the reservoir and it should be good enough. Plenty of room in the case it seems so far... Wish I didn't have the prototype though as the production model will be sweeter.

Here is a sneak peak of my new daily driver... Some Core i7 Extreme Edition lovin:

Nice, like how the blue coolant stands out from the blacked out case.

Well I think I found my next case. :D Man I've been wanting to do watercooling for a long time. I might actually do it on my Ci7. My wife is not going to be happy about me spending more money on my computer. I better make sure I get my raise before I start buying a new case and watercooling.
