If I was to make any changes to the Seagate Wireless drive, it would be to change the high-speed USB 2.0 port to a SuperSpeed USB 3.0 port. In addition, perhaps changing the internal drive from a standard 5400RPM to flash storage would help the battery last a bit longer and further improve reliability and performance.
Exactly what I was thinking! Great minds, great minds ;) Another thought was to have the ability to add on an extended battery. Also to be able to use the USB while charging would be nice. Oh and the ability to swap batteries and have an external charger would be VERY nice and would eliminate the need for the extended battery add-on.

Of course withe the 500gb 5400rpm drive version costing this much, the ssd version would be 3x that which would suck cause I am a cheap bastard....and I mean CHEAP

You can use the USB while charging, just not the Wireless and USB data connection at the same time. An external charger is possible, just get one of the various portable battery chargers, I use one by MyCharge all the time. Would be great to have a hot swap battery option, but sadly that would increase the price of the drive.

What size portable do you have and how long does it last? I never thought about that.

LOL I meant the wireless while charging through USB - I am an idiot

Never really timed how long it lasts with the Seagate Wireless, I have a 6,000mAh one that I mostly use for my Note 4, gives me about 1.25 charge before it's dead.

There are larger ones if you want a bigger one, I know Anker just came out with a 25,600mAh one that I've been thinking about picking up.

Cool. I have a 10,000 one I think (it's in my camera backpack in the other room) so that would probably work for a nice vacation trip.
