Seagate Pocket Hard Drive

I just read your review of the Seagate Pocket Hard Drive. I have been using a 1G Cryptostick on the company computer I use at work, so I really related to that "blue light." I have one comment and a question. First the comment. I have a cable that is about 4 feet long that plugs into one of the USB ports on my computer at work and then I can easily plug my Cryptostick into the cable and lay it down on my desk w/o any hassle. Would that solve the problem of the short cable on the pocket hard drive? Now my question. Is the pocket harddrive just like the hard drive inside my computer - only smaller? If so could I load my Quicken software and data on that pocket hard drive and take it to work and use it there just like I was at home?
