not sure what to tell you since im using the p4pse and 730 without any problems. i would recommend heading over to xtreme. there are many more people with diferent setups the could help you out better then me. there are also so many dothan(PM)thread if you have the time read them all you might be able to fix it. if not post the problems you have having. there are 2 dothan stickies @top of the page in my linky below so start with those first and GL. getting it running correctly. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/for ... y.php?f=59
ASUS Has BIOS 1008 on their site located here for the ASUS P4P800SE motherboard and that bios DOES support the CT-479 adapter.
The ASUS 1009 BIOS has not been approved and my card failed when running this BIOS. If you do find it pay attention to what you are doing or you will end up with dead cards and boards.

how did that happen? im running the beta now on my board. with the 730 @default volts @2.4ghz. It seem wierd how the release the beta and remove. then asus doesnt release a new bios for p4pse and they release a new one for the p4c and the p4p-vm.. why those two and how come pass up the p4pse. I know we wont get answers but it makes no sense to me.

Thx for the tip. It would seem that a 6x multiplier is 'normal' for this version of the P4C800-E BIOS - I hope ASUS will either fit it or add the option to select a specific multiplier. I have downloaded the ESIT tool and the CPU is really quick at 2Ghz!
doesn't look too active anymore... I got my adapter back from ASUS, but my boards are still fried... can't be much help This thread had has 20,000 views on it and it's going up, so people are still reading it.

My CT-479 died a couple of days ago, my P4P800-SE seems to be working completely fine though. Don't know why but just stopped POSTing, Though sometimes it wouldn't POST intermiddently but the frequency increased until it just doesn't work anymore.
I was having VCORE issues with it the first day I got it, worked fine for a few hours then bam, started pumping 1.56V to my CPU all the time and I couldn't go below 1.5V in the BIOS. Mine was a rev. 1.01 and I wonder if they have a newer more reliable rev. out. I think some of the early ones have some engineering flaws, possibly all of them if they haven't revised them yet.
BTW whave revision CT-479 did you recieve from Asus?
