well, i knew them superhighly notable PSUs that everyone wants(corsair VX and HX models) carries plenty of amps on their rail(s) so less total wattage is needed

skier kid, what you just said makes no sense. watts=volts X amps (sorry if i come off as combative)

Wow, thanks for the information Apoptosis. When I started reading about 900 and 1000 watts PSUs I thought only those could handle systems with 2 or 3 powerfull cards like in this review. And now the madness even got to 1200 and 1400w!
Good thing to know that a affordable 600-700w psu is enought for sli or CF with those type of cards. Less money burned away for nothing.

Not just any 600-700W PSU is capable of powering this kind of set up mind you, the Corsair series of power supplies are legendary for powering equipment supposedly out of their wattage range, but they are that well made that they can power a lot of kit.
