That Spider looks pretty nice...for a very nice price. Do you use any software to get functionality with your 650? Just wondering since I have been using Softick's Audio Gateway with my Treo 650 for Bluetooth stereo.

Well......... it would be really nice for the price if the performance were better, but the canyon between the specs and the actual user experience is the problem- audio streaming with audiogateway 1.9 ( far as I know the ONLY software bluetooth streaming solution for treo ) works great, with fabulous sound quality, but when on a phone call, the person on the other end can't hear me well ( the usual complaint is that my voice is very faint, even when I raise my voice to near shouting levels in the privacy of my own home, and my voice is NOT faint when I raise it), and it seems there are lots of dropouts, more than could be attributed to cel coverage.
Here's what a typical sound quality check conversation sounded like;
"how's the sound quality?"
"What?"
"how's the sound quality?"
"What?"
(Louder)"how's the sound quality?"
"What?"
(Even louder)"how's the sound quality?"
"I can't hear you, you're breaking up."
( SHOUTING ) "Ok, I'll call you back later."
When you have to ask like 5 times, you pretty much have your answer...
I would guess that that, coupled with the battery problems are why Radio Shack has discontinued the item, so if you want to roll the dice on getting one that works, your time is limited.
Also, if your head's big like mine, they're a tad small. Driving with one ear uncovered makes it VERY uncomfortable to turn your head, resulting in you having to turn your whole body like someone with limited head movement. I could see this becoming a habit over time if I continued to use these.
For those reasons, I can't recommend it. Looks good on paper, but where the rubber meets the road, not so much.

Wow!
I'll be sure to stay far away. Yeah, the A-G software is the only software that I know that work for the BT stereo headsets and the Treo. One of the reasons that I'm hesitant to 'upgrade' to the the 700 or 750 since the software only runs on the Palm platform. Thanks for the mini-review!

Yeah, no prob, I do A LOT of research before I buy- speaking of which, I've heard bad things about windows mobile 5, slow, no progs, freezes, = run away.
There's a reason they sell for 50% less aftermarket...
