@Ibleet, if you hadn't have said anything about the thread being old I wouldn't have noticed! I thought it was a new review out today! (I did wonder why there was one on a Saturday though)

@ap90033: I think I saw that article too.

If PSU calc shows they needed more juice, then they probably did kill it because of the PSU.

There is the article, look at the Quad Core OC part. It freaked me out! I hate it when somoeone does a review like that and has an issue and doesnt follow up to let us know if the issue was with the board or the power supply....

Can anyone verify what went wrong. They claim its the 4 pin atx not being an 8 pin....

I think only Xbit labs can truely know, but Ibleet has already shown the board works with a quad core, even with overclocking.

So take it at that or don't believe us :P

No I believe he is doing it. I just wonder if maybe 1.5 volts and a Quad Extreme is to much?

Read the article a couple of times. Didn't find any mention of the power supply used. Maybe my eyes are just going bad... Any idea what PSU and wattage was used in the DS3L review?

1.5v under air is a bit extreme anyway. I think the Xbit labs will have been gunning for the highest overclock possible on that board, and pushed it just too far (with possibly a not up to scratch PSU).

PS. The used PSU was: SunbeamTech Nuuo SUNNU550-EUAP (550W)
