Folding on the Intel V8

As we know, the Intel V8 Platform features some serious processing power. In an effort to put such power to good use, we utilized the V8 system to test various Folding@Home configurations to determine which setup yields the most points per day! Read on to find out just how many PPD the V8 can get and which of our folding configurations came out on top!

I'm sorta shocked by those numbers. Native Linux vs Native Windows should be close, maybe a 1% difference, not the 15% difference. Yes Linux workunits tend to go faster but still, something is not right. Maybe its because all the numbers I've seen have been dual vs dual and quad vs quad and not dual quad.

Now that's Folding to the power of X ! :)

It's also impressive to see the team results for each of the trial runs.

Good work, and yes, how much of a power drain does that beast use? =P~

PS, nice write up with balanced reporting.
