Sorry it took so long to respond.Apoptosis wrote:how high you getting BH-6's on these Lanparty boards? All my BH-6's fried up..
I'm actually on a Winchester 3000/MSI K8N Neo2 (NF3)/Booster combo...not one of the Lanparty boards.
I recently picked up a set of 2x256 Corsair PC3200 with BH6 from a member at one of the other forums where I visit and have run them 265, using 3.5v. I am currently running stock air and shipping BIOS so I'm hoping that when I drop in a new cooler and update the BIOS I will be able to maybe hit 270. I've only recently installed A64 Tweaker, by CodeRed and that will allow me some additional tweaks that are not available in the MSI BIOS. By the way, that 265 with the BH6 is better than anything that I've gotten so far with any of my UTT sticks. The BH6 really shines with voltage! I'm sure that these sticks on a Lanparty would easily break 270, maybe even 275.
In my opinion, the MSI just doesn't quite get as much out of the ram as the DFI NF4 does (but then what board does?). I've seen many a guy report getting an add'l 10 - 30 MHz out of their ram when they switched over to the DFI. It just requires patience to fine tune...it is not a "drop and play" kinda board.
One last comment for you. I once again commend you for following up and testing out the 4x multi issue for yourself, instead of blowing it off as someone trying to shoot you down. It reflects character.
Too many people are quit to shoot down the messanger without bothering to consider the merits of the message.
