Gelid Solutions Wing 8 UV Case Fan Review

The GELID Solutions Wing series of gan uses a Nanoflux bearing (NFB), which is better known in the enthusiast community as an electromagnitic fan. By using a magnetic design the fan is able to run friction-free and has no motor noise since no brushes are spinning inside the fan. This means that the fan will never have bearings that break down and begin to squeal as the fan ages over the years.

Two questions.

1.) Can you use a stand alone fan controller like the NZXT Sentry to adjust the fans speeds or a are you stuck with thier fan contoller?

2.) What's the fans rated CFM?

Not sure how your case was set up, but the cause of higher temps with the two fans could be because of air flowing over hot HDDs when coming into the case. The single fan set up could have been drawing air from different entry points in the case.

I do like that you can pull the fan apart with ease, will make cleaning and customization very easy. It would be way cool to sell various fan blades and mounts so you could mix/match to your hearts content. Want a purple fan? Buy this mount with the purple fan. Want a high-speed fan? Choose your blade and use the ultra-beefy mount. Continue to match every niche.

I like that idea. Plus a new/different fan blade should only cost a few dollars compared to a $10+ fan.
