I have two of the newegg specials and the idle temp is 44c, 46c with a 30% overclock, always quiet... as a matter of fact even with on high I can not hear it And the sudden stops in the games for 20 second only occur when I have overclocked to much.
1: you probably dont leave your case door off like i do, and have other places in the case where sound leaks out like it wants, my NB fan is the loudest part of my computer. you take off your door and tell me if the ASUS GSO is the quietest part of your PC, because i harshly doubt.
2: you also probably dont have a GSO fan about 1/2" from the PCB of ANOTHER GSO which has about 1/4" between the fan and the bottom of the case so IT gets hot as well, as the temps stated are JUST in SLI
3: not all cards are made the same, there will always be varying factors such as temperatures and overclockability, and theres also thermal compound variances as well, since i *should* be using Ceramique and am not
