Antec P193 Mid Tower ATX Case Review

Antec has a successor to the mid tower P190 case with their gunmetal gray P193 chassis. Will the upgrades put in place overcome some of the shortcomings of the original design? We build it out with some of the largest components available to see how it fares on a system build that mirrors what any gamer our enthusiast would build if they buy one of these cases!

Antec is well respected in the industry for their chassis (and other products), and as well they should. They are rapidly approaching their 25th anniversary so they have been around long enough to know what their customers want and how to deliver on that expectation. Case in point (no pun intended), their P193 mid tower chassis. The successor of the P190 released in 2007, Antec has made several changes with the P193 which should make this iteration a better all-around case for the enthusiast. Found online for $175 (without a PSU), it's roughly $100 cheaper than the P190 was but this isn't exactly a budget case so we'll bear that in mind during our evaluation.

I understand why they put that super-charger looking thing on the side panel, they needed more clearance for some of the huge coolers that are out there. To me though, it looks kinda like a cheap after market mod. Other than that I dig the case, I really like the container on the hd cage for extra parts, that is a brilliant Idea.

It's a pretty nice case. I am using it full time now. No complaints thus far.

Does anyone know how cool this case is (temperature-wise). Is it better than the P182/183?

It should run cooler than the P183/P182 because it has the 2 fans on top vs 1 and the side 200mm fan. I have not used the P183/P182 cases so I can't say for sure.

This is the best case I've ever had... by far.

It's been over 4 years and still looks new.

I attracts dust in the right places ( front and side screens), therefore very easy to clean.

It's also very quiet... I like that, especially when I'm programming.

:supz:

It was too lonely at the top.
