NZXT Tempest EVO Mid Tower Case Review
The NZXT Tempest EVO is an all black colored steel mid tower chassis that was developed with gamers in mind. Building off of the original Tempest's design, the EVO brings advanced cooling power, expandability, and cable management. The Tempest EVO maximizes airflow circulation with Dual 120mm intake, dual 140mm top exhaust, side 120mm, and a rear 120mm fan. NZXT even redesigned the fan blade design to reduce fan noise levels and the price remains at $89.

Nice updates from the original Tempest. New all blacked out interior, wire routing grommets, large back plate opening, vented expansion slot covers, much better PSU support and venting.

In the Lexa S you were able to mount a radiator inside the case, though you would have to run the fans on the outside of the case. If you choose to run water cooling in the NZXT Tempest EVO a dual radiator will fit beneath the existing fans.
How wide of a rad will fit??

There is plenty of room that you should be able to put a dual 140mm rad in there, though the mounting is designed for a dual 120mm rad. It may take a little ingenuity to mount a 140mm rad. I am on my way out the door right now but I will track down some specs on a dual 140mm rad and see how it will fit inside there.

Thick as that one is it could get real snug with the motherboard.

With the msi board that I have installed in there I only have 2 inches between the case and the memory. It may clear the memory since it is offset a little bit if the memory doesn't have a tall heat spreader. You may be able to shift the radiator a little bit further over but then the fans won't cover as much of the radiator.

So it might work if you keep the rad under 50mm, also the middle hard drive bay, would you happen to know the measurement from the cd rom bay to the top for the bottom bay, might be able to put a single 120mm rad in there.

If you remove the top hd cage you have 8.875 inches between the optical drive ant the top of the bottom tray. if you only plan on 1 optical and 1 hd you can remove both cages, use the included 3.5inch tray for the hd and you have ~12 inches. Then the original rad you talked about could be run in the front of the Tempest EVO. I will post some pics during my sons nap time for ya if ya like.

Here you can see the Tape measure reads 12" to the bottom of the hd tray. and there is another 1.75" below that front lip to the bottom of the case. This gives you 13.5-13.75 inches of clearance to stuff a radiator in there. Hopefully this helps ya out.

Sorry to be a pest but could you do one more tape on it, the screw hole for the 120mm dual rad on top are off set, could give me a measurement from the motherboard tray to the set of screw hole closest??

Thanks for the review!
Looks very similar to the Antec Nine Hundred 2, but a little roomier for those long video cards.
