AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition CPU Review

Post by Apoptosis »

The AMD Phenom II X6 product line is getting a new member of the family today. This isn't just any member of the family, it was bred to be the head of the household. The new AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black edition processor is the new flagship CPU from AMD and runs at a native 3.3GHz and has a turbo that cooks along at 3.8GHz. If you are as curious as I was to see how the AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition processor will perform, read on!

Image
The AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition processor is the new Flagship Processor from AMD. For the most part, it easily sailed past our previous Phenom II X6 processors with relative ease. Priced at $265.00 it's no slouch in that department either. It's fair to say though, it is priced much more competitive and reasonable than the bottom end hex-core from Intel the Core I7 970 which is retailing for $879.99. That price comparison makes the AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition processor a much more attractive option.

$40 for 100MHz? From the same core model?

I could save the $40 and raise the multiplier of the 1090T up like .5 and be at the same clock. Hmm. lol.

Thanks for the great review though.

Thanks for the nice review, & liked the Aliens Vs. Predator Benchmark v1.03 comparisons. since a couple that I may be doing a build for
could def relate to the price/performance /ratios. And they really like this game.

As to spending the extra $$ I would agree like others and say no that extra $40 or so depending on version
is much better spent on cooling and a higher quality psu to handle the OC.
