Priced at $265.00 it's no slouch in that department either. It's fair to say though, it is priced much more competitive and reasonable than the bottom end hex-core from Intel the Core I7 970 which is retailing for $879.99. That price comparison makes the AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition processor a much more attractive option.

As to spending the extra $$ I would agree like others and say no that extra $40 or so depending on version
is much better spent on cooling and a higher quality psu to handle the OC.
