The AMD & [H]ardOCP FX GamExperience Day 2012
Yesterday roughly 600 people headed to Eddie Deen’s Ranch in downtown Dallas, Texas to attend the AMD and HardOCP FX GamExperience. The FX GamExperience was a a free event that showcased the AMD gaming technologies available for PC gamers and to make it really special over $50,000 worth of prizes were given away from 21 sponsors during the eight hour event! Kyle has a ton of valid points made there, but the one point not mentioned in his review is the number of cards released... I can't say the number, but there are hardly any Radeon HD 7970 reference cards out there. The drivers that came out Friday fix most the issues. I can write articles about CrossFire and all the issues I had with the 4 drivers they gave me last week, but I don't see a point in all honesty. If thousands of people had them in the US then that is one thing, but when the number is in the hundreds and a fix is in the works then I see it as being minor. It's always an issue for early adopters. As you know drama gets traffic and here we are talking about it.
