Dell's upcoming XPS 600 Renegade gaming PC features the World's first Quad-SLI video card solution with 2GB of memory on board. If you think seeing high end games run smooth on a dual card SLI or CrossFire system is impressive you haven't seen anything now that Quad-SLI is being used!

That's a LOT of power!

I don't even want to know the PSU requirements and/or what PSU they've used

but not shocked when they told us it needs 850 Watts. The Dell XPS model on display came with a 650 Watt power supply for the system and then each video card gets additional power from these individual 12V power adapters made by Delta Electronics Inc (model # ADP-150BB B). If it looks like an AC Adapter (12v 12.5A output) that a notebook would use don't worry, because that is what it is. Each of these are rated at 150W by Delta Electronics. Adding the 300W from the video card AC/DC Adapters and the 650W from the ATX Power Supply we get a system with 950W of power!

you know, there comes a point when you can have too much. I swear if they dont get 200fps in games at full aa/af its not worth it. seriously now, i bet each card has got to be $1000. I really wouldnt want to hold a lan if someone came in with those, sporting the electric bill would be a killer! LOL

is it sad that I would rather have the a case painted by Mike Lavallee than the harware that was in it.

Even the mighty PCP&C 1000w would not be able to handle that for long, because running a PSU at over 90% would kill it...

The paint on the case was amazing. If you look really close at the last picture on page two you can see that in the upper left corner of the case at Intel's booth it was damaged during shipping. A thousand dollar paint job ruined on the first trip... what I would do for one!

i dont know about you, but i dont want a ruined paint job. LOL yes you are right, what i would do for one. TIS IS AMAZING!!

First off I see 2 problems.

First look at the space for the fans of the first 3 cards. 3 cards will be suking HOT air off the back of the others and will stay in a super heated state. (NOT GOOD) let alone any overclocking.

Second look at the exaust ports, they do not extend to the edge of the pcb, meaning all four cards will be dumping hot air directly back on the gpu's and super heating the entire pc.

My opinion this is a foolish configuration and WILL fail. I forsee a massive tech support headache and pissed off customers. For the listed price you could do alot better building a more efficient system.

I rate this as a 1 out of 10 extremely poor.

borderlinning on incompatent.

been in love with Lavallee's work since I saw him pait a car with his trademark "true fire" never thought that he would do a PC case thought he was strictly atuo's. would nice to know what he charged...

but it would be sickening to see screwed up the first time you took it anywhere.

I have to agree with mjs1231, this design is absolutely ridiculous! I have to think that the Nvidia people are treating this like a Concept Car design at an auto show. In other words, “this is what we can do if you give us enough money and vision”.

I can’t see how anyone beyond those who build “show” boxes will be using this. It’s cool looking, but I’ll stick to my regular-plain-jane-vanilla-SLI.

yeah when I talked to some of those very same people they didn't seem to be jumping up and down about Dell getting exclusive rights to those dual cards for Quad-SLI
