Logitech has jumped onto the mechanical keyboard wave with its G710+. The Logitech G710+ Mechanical Gaming Keyboard features Cherry MX Brown switches, individually backlit keys, media keys, six macro keys, and a USB port. Read on and see if Logitech’s first mechanical keyboard deserves notice!

We may never know why Logitech took so long to deliver a mechanical keyboard to the market, but the G710+ is most certainly welcome. Logitech doesn't include the more gimmicky things found on its other G-series keyboard such as the small LCD screen. The G710+ has only functional and useful features while maintaining a unique appearance...

I like it minus the orange. It seems like Logitech's philosophy is function over form and that's good for me. The keyboard I have now you can't see the letters on the keys without the backlight on. Trouble is I hate the backlight and wish I could leave it off. What about this keyboard?

Can that ugly orange strip be removed? Or possibly pried off if not?

The backlight can be completely turned off. I actually leave the lights on the lowest brightness.

Apparently it can be removed, but the keyboard has to be disassembled.

One of the mod happy folks at overclock.net did just that.

It does void the warranty because one of the screws is hidden under the sticker.

Nice to know thanks! If I decide to get one down the road (Probably get a Mechanical Razer keyboard instead) that's the first thing I'd do with the keyboard! Warranty isn't too big a deal as Logitech is normally good on quality!
