The NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan 6GB is without a doubt the most powerful single-GPU video card ever released. This card is aimed at gamers and enthusiasts that are gaming at Ultra HD resolutions like 2560x1600 or 5760x1080 (Surround gaming setups). The GeForce GTX Titan and the GK110 GPU runs great at 1920x1080, but that is like doing the speed limit with a super car. This card was build to game at high resolutions and really starts to stretch its legs when you get to the higher resolutions.

If you are referring to your tax refund, it's not Uncle Sam's money, it yours that you've been letting him hold over the course of a year. Having 2 of these would make an insane gaming rig but the cost just not justify it IMO. I'm usually the one to buy the bigger ticket items but I'll pass. My GTX590 still does well.

I have always been confused by overclocking on the GPU. You increase by 40% yet the numbers only show a 10% increase in performance. Don't get me wrong, 10% is awesome but why isnt it higher? I you take a 1ghz GPU and overclock to 2ghz you should get at least a 90% increase with taking some out for overhead, etc., with using my logical Spock brain anyway.

Can someone explain why a 40% boost in speed only results in a 10% gain? Look at the chart comparing to the 690. 690 is lower clockrates on gpu and memory yet it performs above the overclocked version of the titan. I know some is internal architecture but arent the Titan and 690 close in that area?

Maybe I am just too set with numbers making sense but this has always bothered me. 50% boost should equal close to a 50% boost in performance in my brain.
