MSI GeForce GTX 760 Gaming OC 2GB Video Card Review in SLI and 2D Surround

The MSI N760 TF 2GD5/OC graphics card is powered by the NVIDIA GK104 'Kepler' GPU that has 1152 CUDA cores and 2GB of GDDR5 memory on a 256-bit bus. This card comes overclocked up to 1020MHz on the base clock and features the massive MSI Twin Frozr IV GPU cooler. You should probably find a way to make your noise tests more reliable.

The MSI 770 Gaming uses the same cooler as the MSI 760 Gaming but at idle but you have it at 43.3dba vs 40.7 which is a pretty big difference considering it uses the exact same fans and is running at the exact same speed of 990rpm.

You know what.. That was human error on my part. I went back through the data and figured out what it was. The HVAC (air conditioner) was on in GTX770 review and was off in the GTX760 review. That causes the dB reading to increase by 2-3dB. Once I'm within 5000 miles of the test system I'll retest. Thanks for pointing this out. When testing cards for hours on end you sometimes make mistakes like noticing the air is running in the room.
