Corsair Vengeance 2100 Wireless Gaming Headset Review

Post by Apoptosis »

We’ve saved the best for last…or is it? The Vengeance 2100 headset we’re are looking at represents our last product review of Corsair’s 2013 headset refresh. Amongst the entire collection of five headsets, the Vengeance 2100 fills a premium niche with the most notable feature being its wireless capabilities. There was much to compare between the headsets and we’ll have to see if the Vengeance 2100 sits at the top of what has so far shaped to be an enforced top-to-bottom headset catalog.

AFAIK Corsair still hasn't fixed the software/drivers with Win 8.1. There's a beta version available but no production version yet.

Not yet, but Corsair is working on a Windows 8.1 driver under v2.0.23 that should address many of the concerns. I have told them that they need to step up the driver support and they understand consumers frustrations and are working on some things internally to fix this issue and to improve software support. Corsair has always been solid on the hardware side, but they are still getting used to doing software, drivers, firmware updates and all that.

This situation reminds of Corsair's first speaker... The SP-2500 that came out in 2011 and I reviewed here - http://www.legitreviews.com/corsair-sp2 ... eview_1492

Corsair made a point to highlight to me that it was firmware upgradeable and expected to have updates for the product as time went on...

Three years later there has been no updates. Corsair did plan for updates though and even made a firmware update tool. Good intentions, but it never panned out.

Yeah, a lot of ppl are PO'd about the software for the headphones and H2O coolers.

Any problems with the speaker system? My Logitechs are dying and I was thinking of getting a 2.1 system. The Corsair speakers was one I was contemplating.

I might be nuts bringing up the option of pairing an aftermarket amp and bookshelf speakers

Just an example
