I just overclocked my Dell M1710 notebook with 84.63 drivers and Coolbits and got 610MHz on the core and 790MHz on the memory. It started out at 500MHz/600MHz, so this is a 110MHz increase on the core and 190MHz on the memory for a few minutes of work.
Not bad considering the 7950GTX is clocked at 575MHz/700MHz!

So they can make fast units smaller

and not looking like a friggin' toaster. What's the deal with desktop units than

Is the target market "I have small tool so I need a large ugly GPU to compensate" consumer group
Anyway the GPU will be intergrated into the Mobo soon with the AMD/ATI merger. I think plug-in chips like present CPU's in design.

I thought dell had locked the GPU BIOS so that the only way to OC it was to flash a new BIOS to it with OC clocks as default.
