FOXCONN 975X7AB-8EKRS2H Motherboard Review

FOXCONN tries their hand at a high end Intel Chipset board and came up with an 975 Express based motherboard that packs some serious punch for the price tag. The 975X7AB-8EKRS2H revision AB is an updated version of the older AA boards and supports multi-core Intel processors. Will it be a Fox or a Dog? We'll find out as we look at the $169 Foxconn 975X7AB motherboard.

Congrats Foxconn!!!
Digital PWM, good Bios support and great overclocking!
The only possible fault I can see is the SATA header placement......Using the second PCIe slot for XFire will block the lower SATA header......not too much of a problem..........alot of boards do this too.

I'm impressed with the results too... Foxconn is really starting to make a move and every product revision we get from them has been looking better and better.

Well their big enough to easily be able to compete with Asus/Gigabyte etc.
Look at DFI, they were in the same position a few years ago, they catered to the industrial market, Foxconn are/were there for the OEMs.
I only hope Foxconn break free and don't go back to boring products..
They can keep both the OEMs and the enthusiasts happy.
OEMs mean reliable sales and lots of them
Enthusiasts means high priced products and marketing for them, so it's a win win situation.

Actually, I have Crossfire set up on this board right now, and access to the SATA headers is no problem. A little snug, but I can use any connector I want/need to.

Many budget boards have terrible layouts. This one is actually very good.
Also, if you have two 12" video cards, and 4 hard drives chances are you're gonna want a higher end board anyways.
