The OCZ Vindicator CPU Cooler Review

Post by Apoptosis »

The OCZ Vindicator CPU Cooler

The OCZ Vindicator CPU cooler is sold as an enthusiast grade thermal solution that provides superior cooling thanks to six copper heat pipes that rapidly transfer heat away from your CPU up to the dense high-stacked fin array where the heat is quickly and efficiently dissipated. Does the Vindicator live up to it's name or does it fall short? Read on to see how the OCZ Vindicator does on an Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 as we compare it to four other CPU coolers.

Did you try to straighten the lower fins with say some needle nose pliers at all? Or is it a return review hardware jobbie and not worth it?

yeah i tried to make the fins straight the best I could as seen in the above picture that I took. Like I said they sent two of them out and I tried both of them on the CPU.

What a shame....I was hoping for much better. And the price: $55 for that? You can get the Scythe Infinity for only $2 more!

I think this is a poor imitation of the Scythe Ninja, which everyone should get instead.

Imitations:
1. Heatpipes are the same, 6 U's in the same shape, 3 at the top of the base, 3 at the bottom of the small heatsink right above the base.

2. Small grooves at the corner for fan mounting.

3. Holes that go diagonally from the center to improve airflow.

4. Similar dimensions.

Exactly what I was saying when LR debuted the first pictures. I said the only way that the Vindicator would sell would be with a cheaper price than the Ninja. The Ninja currently sells at $40 and this thing is $15 more.
