Just burned myself real bad

Post by vbironchef »

](*,) Made some homemade split pea soup! I love the stuff. Well, anyway I put some hot soup in the blender to make the soup a little smoother. Yea right! It went all over the kitchen and on me. I burnt my left wrist and was wearing most of what was in the blender on my t-shirt. Not to mention the whole kitchen is covered in split pea soup  As I am typing this my left wrist is in a ice pack and burning like hell ](*,)

Ouch! It makes me cringe to think of the burning soup all over >_<

Did you not have the lid on the blender or something?

Mmmm soup...never made split pea soup from scratch and now I'm half afraid too  . Hope you get to feeling better soon!

BTW, try broccoli soup sometime, easiest thing in the world to make AND it's bright fluorescent green. Just boil the broccoli for about a minute (till it's bright(er) green and the water is a little green too) and throw it into a food pro (much better than a blender). Don't forget to salt your water! Is great with stinky cheese (feta or gouda come to mind) and/or bacon.

Be sure to stay in the soup game!

Ouch, I had the water in a pot of boiling eggs slosh up over my right arm once, ended up with around a hundred blisters and that was a thin liquid. Can't imagine a thicker liquid like Pea Soup, musta stuck like Napalm.

Hope your feeling better!

Yea, I put ice on it real fast so I got lucky and only had a first degree burn. With no ice, I would have been scared real bad. By the way the soup was really good.

Just got back from Death Valley. Guess what? Yea, I got a sunburn. Time for the aloe vera.
