how many can you do?

A place to rant about politics, life, or just anything you damn well feel like telling others.

Day 2 (60 secs rest)

Therapy to prevent carpal tunnel surgery has put me on the DL, before I stopped I was at 30 straight.

I used to be able to do 77 in two minutes. Now that my elbow has had 2 surgeries...about 45 straight. Once I am over the sickness, I'll get back to trying to get it up to 77 or so in 2 minutes.

We seem to all have something preventing us from doing our best here!

Hell ive still been jogging, and in a few weeks i have my schools athletics carnival! here i come first place 1500m 100m 60m sprint 400m and so fourth

Just read back a bit, and what you just started and you can only get 25?!!?!?! Wow!, at one stage i was talking to hercules71185 he told me to try doing this
1 stand up touch wall
2 stand up touch wall
3 stand up touch wall
4 stand up touch wall
5 stand up touch wall
6 stand up touch wall
7 stand up touch wall
and start over from 1
the first time i did this i got through two cycles and got up to 4 before i died, so i was able to do about 66 pushups! But then again i am only just 17 and about 70kg's maybe 75, and a few weeks ago in PE calculated my body mass index (how much fat i have) and it was something along the lines of 8%. So i suppose ive got a head start on the rest of you old/older people..

From never doing them regularly are you saying that doing 25 is bad?

Friggen kids, half my age (probably weighs half as much too)

Between work and school I've been setting in front of a desk for 8 to 16 hours (some times longer) a day for a long as you have been alive, exercise wasn't to high on the list of stuff to do. Now I've gotten to a place where I can start focusing on getting my self healthy again, which means practically starting from scratch with a body that is heavier and an energy level that is no where near what it was when it was 16.

 sorry for the rant, here of late I'm starting to have more "old man" rants. They usually show up on particularly rough mornings, this morning being one of them.

Walking or running might help out beer bellies better. I saw a bit of tone in my upper abs but my belly was still sticking out abit in the middle.

initial test: 23 - rank 3
So I'm not as out of shape as I thought! Cutting out carbonated drinks after today, and I'm allowing myself only weekends for a couple of beers.
Alternating my 3 days of pushups with 3 days of the Body For Life's 20 Minute Aerobic Solution (it works, believe me. last time I did it, I dropped 13lbs in 6 weeks)

Wish me luck, perseverance, and determination!
