JukeBox or (dukebox for the americans?)

Post by kappage »

Well, it has been a long time since i started collecting the parts needed for a digital Jukebox. but it has finally happened over the last past week i have been slaving over electronics, while my older brother Alex (who did most of the wood work apart from final construction) had been making perfect 90o cuts on some MDF wood to make it all happen. It has not been easy trying to get all the angles to work especially when the MDF i got was free.

The computer i have running in it is a:
-Celeron 900mhz CPU
-160Gb Hard drive
-128mb ram (hopefully soon to be more)
-Slot load DVD drive

The amp can support two 50 watt speakers while the ones i have in their are only 40's... (best i could get)

Dont the orange racing stripes make it?

Remember to allow for ventilation then when you do.

Velcro a cheap one to the inside of the case, that way its there when you need it. It would suck to be in the middle of a party and have to go track a keyboard down due to the thing locking up.

K i am going to update this thing very soon. I am also left with a question. On each 4 pin rail there is a 12v and a 4v connector on this. Since my touchscreen is rated for 12-16 v am i able to just 'bodge' it and join the 12v and 4 v together? I am only thinking of doing this because my monitor is not getting enough power to keep it constant, because of this the color changes the screen might be the perfect color balance but then all of a sudden it goes Pink or blue or yellow. i am suspicious of how much power it is getting i am rpetty sure that, that is the problem.

Another confirmation of it being 5v.

What's the screen running off now?

45watts inst that much. not much power. THD is total harmonic distortion, how much it screws up the sound. and .04 isnt really that bad for a larger more powerfull multi channel sound system, but considering its only 45watts and stereo is less than great. most people wouldnt be able to tell though

Well thanks for elaborating, but this amp the Yamaha has to be better than the one ive got which is a Kenwood Ka-2002a. The only problem ive got now is that the amp is wider than the jukebox.... Hmmm
