After having two killer little Yorkies running around the inside of my house for nearly a year I've made the plunge and ordered in a fence. Local companies only seem to be able to get me what they can order in from catalogs and a 3" gap between pickets seems to be standard. Since my dogs are so small they can fit through 3" pickets I needed something smaller. I figured I'd do a search online and ran across www.vinyl-fence.com and after talking with the owner Jim, I placed an order for a fence with his company.
A little background on how the order happened...
We get some crazy wind here in Missouri and I wanted to match my neighbors fencing so I went with a semi-privacy fence that had the pickets spaced 1.7" apart. This was also needed as the models with 3" spacing wouldn't keep my girlfriends two yorkies in my yard. I sent an e-mail over to vinyl-fence.com and the owner Jim sent me a bid back and even installed pictures of the exact fence I was wanting as he didn't have installed pictures of the 1.7" fence on his site, just the 0.7" model.
Jim from vinyl-fence.com told me that he makes the product himself here in US and even extrudes his on Vinyl at his several factories around the country. He also told me that since I was in Missouri if I ordered from him that it would be done in Ohio and shipped from there. Being sold on this fact I place an order and less than 48 hours later he sent me these pictures...
The shipping company also called me yesterday while I was at lunch to set up a delivery for Monday... Jim took my order, made the fence and had it packed up and out the door in under 72 hours, which is impressive. He even took pictures and sent them too me without me asking for them... Even if they are for insurance purposes on his end, it is a great feeling to see what you ordered before it gets to you...
If you are looking to put a fence up this spring check out vinyl-fence.com as they have great customer support, claim to have better materials and are locally owned and operated. Oh and yes they are cheaper than any local company even after the ~$300 shipping bill. I'm trying to talk Jim into doing a Legit Reviews discount ;)

That's a nice looking fence. I may look into that. I need a fence to keep my kid in the back yard.

Nice looking fence! I do not like the hollow sleeves for the posts, but I think most are done that way now. We have the solid vinyl posts on our front porch.
It is amazing that he is cheaper than Lowes or Home Depot! We want a fence around our back yard, but the price for installation is the killer for us
Does he do anything with getting the fence installed or are you on your own for that? (with my neck, I just cant seem to dig post holes anymore ;) )

Oh, will the delivery company just park it on your front lawn/driveway or will they put it where you ask?

Remember, I am opinionated and nothing I say or do reflects on anyone or anything else but me

Cool. We aren't allowed to have fences in my subdivision so we have one of those electric dog fences
