Helping Hurricane Victims

Post by Amy »

I don't know about the rest of you, but I feel pretty helpless about the hurricane victims. We just don't have the finances right now to do much. However, I found something that just might help. You can put a Red Cross Banner on your homepage to encourage others to donate. It'll be on our homepage tonight when we get a chance to add it. Although we aren't able to help financially, we are able to make it easier for others to donate. I think this is a great idea, and I thought I'd share it with all of you so you can also put it on your homepage if you wish.

I am not able to donate much either. At a highschool football game this weekend they were selling beads for Katrina victims. That was an inexpensive way for me to help. Also, my daughters' school is doing a spirit week and all the money goes to Red Cross. So, like Amy said if you can't help out on a big scale every little bit helps. If everyone even donated one dollar it makes a difference. Stop at lemonade kids are having on your local street; firefighters (and cutes one too) were raising money at Dierbergs this weekend. Thanks for the post, Amy.
