Joe stack and the IRS building

Post by Dragon_Cooler »

"Well Mr. Big Brother IRS man... take my pound of flesh and sleep well"

I know a lot of people have heard about the man that flew his plane into the Texas IRS building. But do many people really know why? Do you know of the suicide note? Do you really know of the suicide note?

I dont want to go too deep into it as there is a lot of controversy and I dont want to open a can of worms I cant fish with, but I strongly hope this creates some kind of revolution with our government. The man is right. Sadly I dont think anything is going to happen over this as too many people are going to have the "donkey effect" sitting around shaking their heads in agreement but not do anything about it. Yes, Its sad that people were killed in this incident, but you have to crack a few eggs to make an omelet. Hollywood case and point:

"V for Vendetta"
"Law abiding citizen" --awesome movie BTW!!

These are the only movies that come to mind, but I know deep down a LOT of people in America feel the same way, but dont want to do anything about it because it would require effort and disrupt their day to day "working" life's.

I am wanting to know who else has read into it and feels the same way. For the first time in my life, I want to "Stir the Pot" A man went to great lengths to show what is wrong with our system. This really shouldnt be left alone! Sadly the news is trying to drop it like a hot potato. Hell, Balloon boy got more coverage than this....SAD!!!

In case you know nothing of the six page suicide note, here is a link:

This guy has had one issue after another in his life. Lost everything more then once (his fault for trying to skirt the system) but he does bring up a good point about the tax code. Its way over complicated, and has been needing overhaul for a while.
How can any rational individual explain that white elephant conundrum in the middle of our tax system and, indeed, our entire legal system? Here we have a system that is, by far, too complicated for the brightest of the master scholars to understand. Yet, it mercilessly “holds accountable” its victims, claiming that they’re responsible for fully complying with laws not even the experts understand. The law “requires”
a signature on the bottom of a tax filing; yet no one can say truthfully that they understand what they are signing; if that’s not “duress” than what is. If this is not the measure of a totalitarian regime, nothing is.
But, yeah, he was off his rocker. Now some are saying that this guy is an example of what the Tea Party is all about, tea party folks are the working class that has gotten fed up with how somethings are being railroaded with out being read. Like other groups like PETA, there are the calm groups and the nut jobs. Calm ones are the bulk and are just making a little noise to pull attention to an issue. Noise makers are not the ones to worry about, its the quiet nut job ones. Noisy you can see coming, quiet nut job will sneak up and hammer you.. Stack, McVeigh.

Stack is up there with the nut cases in militia groups up north, they always get worked up (more then normal) with Dems in control and thumping new taxes down left and right, and ramping up the control stuff. I have been waiting for another repeat of McVeigh since the unemployment got over 10%, and how things were being voted on and pushed with out being even read.

Well if you take a look at the tax system and its rules, if you follow it verbatim, you will fail. Its pretty much designed so that if you are a small business. You WILL FAIL. You have to "cheat the system" in order to get by. Case and point: I new a guy that had a small business and did not pay his taxes for 15 years because there was nothing to report. There was no profit or anything like that. Finally the IRS caught up to him and took him to court. He played his cards right, read the laws, and ended up winning because he was never actually doing anything wrong. It ended up costing the IRS more money to take him to court, so now they pretty much dont ever touch him anymore. I mean, it is ridiculous that we are getting taxed on our work that we perform. I thought a tax was suppose to go on something incoming...

Anyway this could go on forever, wars are fought over this kind of stuff. I always hated politics and religion.... LOL But My point is, this "system" we have in the US is %^&^&*^ed up. Everyone knows it. Everyone knows that we are the **** end of the stick and we are just sitting around and taking it. Finally when someone makes a message to do something about it, we are still sitting around taking it.
