This past Wednesday, the U.S. Senate unanimously passed a bill forcing TV and cable companies to employ industry standards limiting the volume of commercials to even out the levels of audio between commercials and regular programming.
WTF?
Does anyone really feel that this requires a law to address the issue? I find it as annoying as everyone else but do I really want my government spending considerable time discussing, debating and voting on this rather than the substantial issues we face today? Hell no.
I would think that this would be an issue that the people could address by boycotting products whom advertise for high volume commercials or calling our cable/satellite providers and complaining.
Better yet, there are multiple technology avenues one can pursue to mitigate or eliminate the discrepancy in audio volume.
