It's diversion from the truth. The real reason is probably hidden somewhere safe.

Structures? Zoom in on some of the areas with more pronounced terrain features (Like on the right edge, about a 1/3 of the way down from the top). Looks more like paint than anything - to me at least. There are no clear breaks with the hilly areas. Looks freakin odd though...

Oh yeah, if you zoom out from Nate's link a bit and then go West a bit you'll see the other zig zag thingy and then a bit more West of it are the 3 jets within the rings. Really wacky stuff.
