Pay-Pal
funny thing is everyone else I have contacted has the same experience as me, no replies, no product. Looking over the persons feedback, they have sold the items more than once. That may not mean anything, i've sold items more than once because people change their minds, or bid then try to haggle, but when the person rips people off, it makes you wonder.
he talked to you from that yahoo account right?
yahoo is a webmail, but you can still see his IP if you send him an email with a pixel sized image on a server you control, and then look at the server's log
knowing his IP will allow you to report him to his ISP's abuse department (probably won't help but worth a try)
the IP can help you check if he is using some services such as ICQ and get his ICQ number...

I have no idea how to do what you guys are talking about. If any of you "McGyvers" want to explain, show me how, i'd be happy to do it.
I filed a complaint today with the Nevada ST attorney general, both against the seller and paypal, they say paypal is a huge problem for them. Anyway, now they have me talking to the Secret Service internet fraud division. Man, i would love to see this scumbags face when they bust him/her.
Also more people are having problems with that seller, its almost laughable that paypal did nothing to help, but if you go to that website, paypal sucks, you cansee why.

Why go through all of that hassle? In his e-mail headers Yahoo may have stamped it with the user's IP address. Look at the header of the e-mails that you have received from this person and see if his IP has been posted.Yair wrote:he talked to you from that yahoo account right?

capper5016, you should see an an option in yahoo to see the full headers
(that's the to line, from line and a lot more lines)
copy&paste it here if you need help locating the IP address (if it even exists there

When you have time, go to Ebay and look up the seller khmerluva562, the person that ripped me off. Three other people have had the same experience in the last week, exact same thing almost verbatim, yet Paypal dismissed my claim, only saying that the seller did send me something, and they could verify what it was or wasn't.
This has gotten out of control and now i'm furious. i talked to the Feds, and they told me I have to file a police report with the locals, I talk to the locals, and they send me to the Feds, no one wants to help, yet this shitbag is continuing to rip people off and no one will stop him or her.
We need to track this person down and make someone do something about it.
Even after bringing these other people to Paypals attention, they will only reply to me with"We're sorry, your case is closed and we are unable to change outr decision", even after three people have the same experience in the last week!!!!!!
Someone please help

my only guess is to sit tight and see what these other people can dig up. This person is obviously doing this to many people. He did it to 3 people on ebay god knows how many others are like you that didn't have actually win an ebay auction. Time will catch up with them... Just hang tight.
I'm leaving for Asia right now so hold down the fort guys and I wish you the best of luck. I'll be on the internet from time to time so I'll try to post how I'm doing in Taiwan and China

Write a complete, accurate discription of what happened, file a report with the local police (they can't stop you), tell them it's required by federal law(last choice, they usale are more co-operative if you act like you'r being forced by the FBI too.) once you have a case # forward that to the SS as wil as the ICCFBI, include the names/email of as many victims (with their permission ONLY) as possible (if the total exceeds $10k, it will get some action)capper5016 wrote:When you have time, go to Ebay and look up the seller khmerluva562, the person that ripped me off. Being right and making waves takes effort, but it will help prevent others from getting hosed and MYY? either get you some cash or send the Ahole to jail, and build evidence against the real problem the EBAY/paypal scam neither should claim to be an enforcer, both make money as long as things keep selling.
The FTC won't do anything because she isn't a business, I filed a complaint with the Postal Service Inspection Diivision, but was told it will be up to 6 weeks before I hear back.
Starting to hear back from the 4 other people she screwed over, same exact story, every one of them.
Paypal is now saying they have closed the case and will not reopen it, even though I have also forwarded them my correspondence from the other victims.
now they sat that once the seller prvides a tracking number can can and will do nothing.
BOYCOTT PAYPAL!!!!!

So basically they could send you a brick,or an empty envelope is long as it has a tracking #?
So PayPal investigations are basicly meaningless as are thier calims of safe transfers, and many of the escrow services are scams too.
Ebay was a great idea, but anywhere there is big money (or LOTS of small money) draws the scammers like flies.
and in an article on friday
http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascit ... 540.htm?1c it turns out Ebay is a great place to fence stolen property.
It also mentions that the FBI and USPS now use a $100k minimum to begin an investigation (used to be $10k combined total of all victims) so I don't think you'll be getting much help there
I guess it's OK to steal a little bit at a time

Basically true. You could sell anything you want on Ebay, stuff dogshit in an envelope, and as long as you can show there was a package shipped, neither paypal nor Ebay will do a thing. then you add to the fact that paypal chose not to tell me any of this right away, but instead to tell me that their "investigation" would take two weeks to a month to complete and I'm scrwed...out $500. I think it is absolutely ridiculous, then when you try to go through law enforcement, it is always "someone elses resposibility", no one wants to help you, just push you off on another orginization. Next step is for me to make a trip to Long Beach and deal with this POS myself.
This persons name is Komsoth Mao, Ebay ID is khmerluva 562, and she seems to like selling (or not selling) computer stuff. Stay clear of her.

ok, i just read this whole thing and it is absolute crap. my little brother does a lot of selling on ebay as a side job (over $150,000 in sales last year) and deals with paypal a lot. needless to say, he has had a LOT of problems with paypal from his end as well. he has sold items for over $2000, shipped them, and then the buyer reports the item as never being shipped even though proof of shipping has been documented. so they refund the money to the purchaser, and close down his account! this has happened several times. there have also been times where one complaint on ebay (not negative feedback, just a complaint) has had his account shut down. he is so mad at ebay and paypal right now. looks like the real winners here is ebay and paypal (same company now). no matter who gets ripped off, they don't care. they still have your percentages from the sale and the transaction fee. very disgusting.
also, i agree with staying away from frys. it's a cool store because they have a lot of neat stuff, but honestly i've had better results at the local computer fairs. usually those are honest, local merchants and are always willing to do a refund/exhange if something doesn't work. the prices are very competitive as well since there are so many vendors in one area all with the same stuff.
