I've noticed that too....Americans (tourists) who are here.....We can spot them a mile away...usually by your accents....There are normally two types of American tourist I'd come accross....Mortious wrote:Funny thing however (was visiting Nottingham Castle) the ladies there said the most friendly people they get in are always Americans, that we always want to talk with them and have always been very nice, so yes we do have some bad apples, but for the most part we are very aware of our "status" in the world, and for the most part act properly.
90% of you guys are SUPER POLITE...to an extent where it's sickening lol
anyone here that I know that works in the service industry really loves you guys......or should I say your tips......
There is always going to be a jackass tourist from every country.....no offence but they always seem to be from NY......They try to push their weight around and are very quickly put in their place, If it's in a Pub...the whole pub will turn on the poor guy and make him feel 2" tall...IF he can take it...then they usually become good drinking buddies......
People over here generally take people for who they are, and treat each person individually (were basically down to earth and like people who are the same)....what we hate is tourists who demand something now, expecting to get 5* treatment just because they are on Holidays....if you want 5* treatment.....book a room in a 5 star hotel! Don't book a room in a rustic, remote and secluded hotel and expect a jacuzzi.
People in this day and age know not to judge a person by their country...but as an individual....i hope!
