Apology to -mogwai

I know this is nearly two weeks late, but I need to apologize to -mogwai. While I still disagree with his position on Cheney being negligent I should not have called him a "city slicker" without verifying that first.

I was wrong for that and I need to publically apologize for it, he amply proved he wasn't a city slicker and that he did have plenty of experience with hunting.

This apology would have came sooner, but I have been running up and down the East Coast for the last 11 days and have not had access to the net.

I apologize to the mods if this brings up any old "wounds" this isn't intended to, but to correct the error in my integrity and I would not be right to only apologize to him privately, when I called him out publically.

i honestly have no problem with being called a city slicker. it doesn't offend me in the least. i'm from the dc/maryland suburbs, so it's not like i'm a country boy.

Grew up on 300 acres of property in western part of Maryland. Worked on 15th and M in DC many, many, many years ago. When I worked in DC, I lived in Greenbelt. Used to party at a place called the Paragon in College Park.

I lived in Gaithersburg and the last place I lived in Maryland was Bethesda.

Haha, I left Maryland because my employer moved from Bethesda to that evil place called Herndon Virginia.

I grew up in Washington County though.

One of the nice things about where I grew up was that the sixth grade class went on an annual outing for the class at this rather nice place that had log cabins and the kitchen was covered with old pictures of our Presidents. That was the last year that the schools were allowed to have outings at Camp David. Beautiful place.

I miss the mountains on the east coast. Now those are fun roads to drive.

dude.... f virginia. remember those tickets i got in virginia back-to-back over winter break (i stopped to get directions from a cop who decided to give me a ticket for getting lost and ending up in an ALL-HOV LANE HIGHWAY.. and then, pulled me over after i drove away for using my cell phone to tell my mom about the ticket while i was driving)? well, i sent virginia a letter asking for a continuance on my court date because i'm a student in school in missouri and it'd be impossible for me to make the court date. they sent me a letter back a week after the court date telling me that i missed the court date and that i had to pay a fine on top of the amount i already owed for the tickets...

i repeat, f virginia.

maryland's still one of the best overall states i've ever been to

i've got the maryland flag hanging on my wall and i have it as the wallpaper on my cell phone :D

Yeah, I hate Virginia. In fact, I hate the state so much that I requested and got a transfer to California instead of dealing with driving in that miserable quadruple taxation state for working in Herndon. Finally, I got out of California and now live in Oregon.
