Martha Stewart faces sentencing

Post by Apoptosis »

Martha Stewart will find out this morning if she's going to jail. Stewart will be sentenced for lying to investigators about a stock sale that brought little financial gain but a dramatic loss of stature. She may also lose her freedom.

Shortly after 10 a.m. ET, a hearing began to determine her sentence for lying to investigators about a stock sale that brought little financial gain but heavy losses in terms of stature and, most probably, her freedom.

Wearing a black pant suit and escorted by her son-in-law, the lifestyle diva arrived at the federal courthouse in New York at about 9:15 a.m. ET.
Woot... Martha is going to go to jail!
Daily life behind bars, even in a minimum security facility, is highly structured and full of reminders that freedom is a lost privilege. Stewart will wear prison-issue khaki garb, bathe in communal showers and work for a maximum of 40 cents an hour.

That's a far cry from the $673 an hour she earned last year as CEO of Martha Stewart Living, assuming a 40-hour workweek and her $1.4 million salary and bonus.
I can't imagine making $673 an hour... nuttin like making over $100,000 a month!

WOOT I WAS RIGHT!!!!

Lifestyle guru Martha Stewart was sentenced to five months in prison, five months house arrest and two years' probation for lying to investigators about her 2001 sale of ImClone Systems stock. She must also pay a $30,000 fine. In a statement after this morning's hearing in New York, Stewart pledged "I'll be back." Hours later, former stock broker Peter Bacanovic was sentenced to five months in prison and two years' probation; he was fined $4,000.

lol i guarantee martha is more honest than the rest of the corporations, heh~

This was all about Martha being a successful business woman and the fact they paid off most of the people to lie against her anyway, heh is disgusting.

That other fag should have gotten the real sentence, of course htye overlook that.
