I think Russia should have stayed communist. I think Russia has to many underworld organizations. I think Russia is too cold

I have never been there, but just the size of the country is astounding!

Other than that - Russia is ok by me, unless they decide to recreate the cold war

Here in STL there is a fair amount of folks from Russia and the Ukraine immigrating. I have teachers that where Russian, I currently work with a lady to came from Russia, never really asked her anything about it, her whole family is a blast to be around. I love the food, when we have food days here in the office she is always bring in something; 9 times in 10 there is nothing left.

Never been there though. I will most likely will never go, not that I don't like it, don't think I will have the funds to ever travel abroad.

Spam or no spam, Russia's military has always been a mess. They've had weapons etc, but no knowledge. They have always been the poorest trainned of any army. In one battle during the Winter War, Finland took out 2000 invading Russians. Of course Finland did it with only 40 guys. They got their butts kicked in Afghanstan. You can't just sent soldiers and expect to win. Everything has to be analyzed. Russia has never been well-prepared. They just solve the problem by sending more people to their deaths.

Russian never learnt their lesson, they went headstrong into Afghanistan and got slaughtered there to. The U.S. isn't doing much better. They also should of learnt in Vietnam you can't win against guerrilla warfare.

Seriously, I have a good friend named Ilya who works with me. Mainly the people are not bad, it's the people in power over there. (government or the mafia; one in the same or opposing it doesn't matter.)

BTW, the largest Ukraine and Russian immigrates in North America is Cleveland, OH. There are many areas there that have more people speaking their languages than English.
